The City of Rochester Symphony Orchestra’s 2021 - 2022 Season opens with a welcome return by the virtuoso violinist Fenella Humphries to play Bruch’s ever-popular Violin Concerto. The programme is packed with music that is sure to please, including Tchaikovsky’s 1812 Overture and music from a number of blockbuster films. This concert marks a welcome return of the orchestra to the stage after so many months of lockdown, one not to be missed!

The second performance of the Season features a programme of music evoking the landscapes of Europe. Hamish McCunn’s rousing overture Land of the Mountain and the Flood is followed by Canteloub’s enchanting Songs of the Auvergne, with Delius’ A Walk to the Paradise Garden and Beethoven’s evergreen Pastoral symphony completing an evening of beautiful music.

CRSO brings its 2021 - 2022 season to an exuberant end with a Last Night of the Proms concert. Come along to hear your Proms favourites played by your local orchestra – have those Union Flags at the ready!
