Accessibility

We are committed to a website that is accessible to all our users.

We review the site regularly and amend pages that may cause problems for people with disabilities.

We aim to meet or exceed the provisions of the W3C/WAI Level 'AA' checklist.

The following sections describe some of the features that have been incorporated into this website to aid accessibility.

Plain English

All of our content is checked for plain English, and we aim to use a written style which is straightforward and understandable. All website publishers have received training in both writing for the web and in the importance of the Medway Council style guide and all pages are approved by website content coordinators before they go live.
